My name is George and I am from Melbourne, Australia, where I graduated
with a Bachelor of Engineering (Aerospace Engineering with Honours) in
2014. While studying, I worked as a teacher of swimming and water safety
at Melbourne’s main aquatic centre. I later took up a second job as a casual
flight simulator instructor at a ‘Flight Experience’ outlet, and I took
up a third job as an educator at the Victorian Space Science Education
Centre (VSSEC). In addition, I did study exchanges in China and the Netherlands,
as well as a six-month internship in Austria, where I worked on an Airbus
project in a stress-engineering office. My hobbies include: travel, photography,
DJing and flying.
Since 2010, I have wanted to experience teaching my ‘mother tongue’ (English) abroad. I have also wanted to experience living in Japan – a country that I have been fascinated with and intrigued by – particularly during the last two years. I now have the pleasure of both teaching English and living in Japan. It is a privilege to be part of the team at Gunma Language Center and Language Academy, and to meet and work with clever and motivated students.
I hope to meet you soon.
I'm Evan Martin & I am from Toronto, Canada. I've been with the Gunma
Language Centre and Language Academy since March of 2015 and my goal here
is to assist students in learning a foreign language as I do the same.
I received my English degree from McMaster University in 2013 and completed my TESL Canada certification in 2015.
Prior to teaching, I worked as a postman & my interests include reading, hiking, and seeing friends."
My name is Stephen Cutting and I am from a city called Norwich in England.
I completed a BA (Hons) in 2013 and an MSc in 2015. After deciding that I wanted to teach English in Japan, I studied on an intensive one-month long CELTA course to train as and English Language Teacher.
Since starting work at GLC-LA, I have taught a range of different types of lessons. I teach business English, conversational English and lessons that focus on specific areas such as reading, listening, pronunciation and vocabulary. I teach adults and children at language schools and remotely. Teaching many different kinds of lessons at GLC-LA has allowed me to gain practical teaching experience and develop skills that will be invaluable to me as I continue my career as an English Language Teacher.
A bientôt !
